Paintings by Walter Russell

The explanations of the paintings are partially based on »In the Wave lies the Secret of Creation« by Dr. Timothy A. Binder, a former president of the University of Science and Philosophy.

originally untitled, undated This painting illustrates the maturation stages of all things, from galaxies to atoms. They initially, increasing from the poles, densify in four degrees of compression (+1 to +4) only to spread out again from the equator after having reached the turning point in the centre of compression until they again reach the state of total balance of the zero-point after a further four degrees of dissolving (-4 to -1).

All Things Return To Their Source
All Things Return To Their Source

This is an allegorical picture of the Cosmic Law of Cause and Effect. Everything that emanates from a galaxy, a sun, an atom or a human being comes back to its source. Similarly, every human being, atom, sun and galaxy returns in its own individual rhythm to its source in the Universal Oneness, in order to be re-emanated into the polarity of the manifested world.

originally without title, undated Walter Russell utilised the bar magnet again and again to illustrate the polarity of all things created. One end is feminine, the other is male. Also refer to the other bar magnet paintings. Corresponding to the »Cosmic Clock« by Walter Russell, the male pole is illustrated by the red-orange Octave Wave colours of the spectrum, while the female pole is kept in the blue-green colours.

originally untitled, undated Walter Russell utilised the bar magnet again and again to illustrate the polarity of all things created. One end is feminine, the other is male. Two gravity bars are shown approaching union in the center. In this position before union, polarity still strongly exists betwen the two approaching poles. After union, the two bars void their separateness in their union and become one bar. Also refer to the other bar magnet paintings.

Bar Magnet 3

originally without title, undated In this painting, following up from Bar Magnet 2, we can see the two bars at a further stage of voiding seperateness in a simulation of stillness at an eventual point of contact. As they approach this voidance, the color spectrum polarized male-female fields change shape from the preceding more nearly spherical fields to toroid or doughnut-shaped fields. It is between such aprroaching opposites that matter is formed.

originally untitled, undated Here you can see two bar magnets, whose two identical poles are close to each other. Due to a lack of oppositeness, nothing new is created. Also refer to the other bar magnet paintings. Walter Russell utilised the bar magnet again and again to illustrate the polarity of all things created. One end is feminine, the other is male.

Oil You can see the radiation of the planet, expanding from its equator. According to Russell, new planets are born by the suns expansion rings. When these are old enough, their rings form moons and their radiation forms comets which return to the sun.

completed shortly before his death. This pastel of a vortex whirls shows the universe or a solar system, illustrating the two archetypal male and female polarities that result from the division of the One into the Many, by expanding from the equator. The upper blue-green pole symbolizes the female principle, the lower red-violet pole symbolizes the male principle. Beginning and ending are one and the same, which Walter Russell demonstrated in a special way: he died on his birthday 05/19/1963

Oil This painting with its four separate images across the top appears to reveal the red-orange male and green-blue female spectral colours surroinding the ends of a bar magnet. These colours surround all polarized opposites. The upper paintings reveal the male pole on the left of the pairs and the female on the right. The lower pair reveals the spectral fields of these paired bars as if the upper pairs were both rotated 90 degrees horizontally to a close-up side view.

Might of the Ages
Might of the Ages

Oil painting, completed in 1900 One of the most heart-rending so-called defeats I have ever experienced was in my youth. At twenty-eight years of age I had painted an extremely ambitious allegory entitled. The Might of the Ages to symbolize the power of thought in the making of civilisation. I had visioned great things arising from its exhibition at the National Academy.

Natures Bar Magnet Of Light

completed in 1960 A single bar magnet of light is revealed in this painting showing the male-female colored poles ind octave progression. The four octave steps of male preponderance are shown from the center outward to the right from infrared to red to orange to yellow. The four octave steps of female preponderance are shown from the center to the left as violet to blue to green to yellow. Their maximum expression of male or female polarity is at the ends of the gravity bar as orange-yellow...

Oil Painting, undated, published in the author's foreword of »The Secret of Light« in 1947. A multitude of interpenetrating wave fields, all in spiral motion, emerge from the plane of zero-polarity in the centre of the painting, serving as the pivotal point for the spiral motion. Extending down, the female power densifies changing from blue-green to yellow. The male power extends up, changing from red-orange to yellow.
